having lots of friends is good. having friends who give away free stuff is even better!
when one of our friends who works for one of the biggest multimedia stores in france (think tower records 10 years ago) emailed asking if anyone wanted to go to Disneyland Paris for a "night of terror", g immediately said yes.
tickets for disney costs about 30 euros (for people living in ile de france) and we got them for free, for a private soiree in walt disney studios. no lines, no kids, no hassle.
we were lucky that it wasn't super cold that night and we were able to do all the rides. i was actually very proud of g. he did all the rides, including the tower of terror and the rock and roller coaster (i was sort of disappointed with this one, i was expecting more). he doesn't like theme parks and he doesn't like heights and he almost finished a bag of candies all by himself that he was afraid he'd throw up even just by walking into the theme park. but he had a great time anyway and i think he's actually looking forward to our next visit.
we even have a photo with mickey and minnie as a souvenir. now he can't ever deny he went to disneyland.

hahaha! i'm like G! i hate theme parks. my sole purpose in theme parks is to watch the bags while everyone's enjoying. on second thought, i like water-related rides!
